ABOUT ME
Dr. Akar Sahingoz completed her PhD in Nutrition Education at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. Since receiving her doctorate, she has served as a vice dean, school board member and head of division at Gazi University. She has published 2 books in Turkey, 1 book chapter in England and USA, done over 15 presentations at national and international conferences, and had 17 papers in published in refereed journals. She has additionally done lectures on her field for Gazi University. Dr. Sahingoz’ research interests include the Mediterranean diet, adolescent nutrition, menu planning for different groups and Turkish culinary practices. She teaches courses;
Undergraduate : Nutrition Principles, Food Chemistry, Menu Planing, Preparing Food and Drink
Graduate: Nutrition Currants, Nutrition and Health, Food Safety, Culinary Culture.
Doctorate: Food Antropology
