Dr. Akar Sahingoz is in the Department of Family and Consumer Science Education, Food and Nutrition Technology Division, Gazi University, Ankara. She received her doctorate in Nutrition Education from Gazi University in 2002. She teaches courses in nutrition and health, principles of nutrition, food hygiene and menu planning. Her research interests include the Mediterranean diet, adolescent nutrition, and nutrition education.
